Betsy VanLangen was born and raised in the small town of Glen Rock, New Jersey. Growing up as somewhat of a paparazzi within her own home, it’s amazing she didn’t take her first photography class till she was an undergrad at Loyola College in Maryland. After graduating in 2008 with a degree in fine arts, Betsy went onto complete a one year graduate program at Maryland Institute College of Art.
Now currently in the culminating stage of the process she’s returned to her roots in New Jersey to get her Masters at Rutgers University. Always enthusiastic about her work, Betsy’s passion and love for what she does only increases with each new photographic outlet she discovers. Her fine arts background allows her to mix creative, edgy and unique elements with timeless and classic imagery. It’s these stylistic elements that have really defined the photographs Betsy creates and the type of work she defines herself with.
